Outbound Mammoth is in search of a skilled and passionate Culinary Operations Supervisor to guide our kitchen team.
The Culinary Operations Supervisor will be tasked with managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring the excellence and uniformity of food preparation, and upholding a pristine and efficient kitchen atmosphere.
The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership capabilities, a comprehensive understanding of kitchen dynamics, and a commitment to culinary artistry.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate all kitchen personnel, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
Guarantee that all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with established recipes and quality benchmarks.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure prompt and efficient service.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with procurement of supplies to maintain sufficient stock.
Ensure a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Ensure compliance with proper food handling and storage protocols.
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and report any maintenance requirements.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Address and resolve any kitchen-related challenges or concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a kitchen supervisor, sous chef, or in a similar capacity is essential.
Strong knowledge of culinary practices, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A culinary school diploma or relevant certification is advantageous.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully execute the essential functions of this role.
While executing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing for 90% or more of a standard 8-hour work shift. Must be able to frequently carry, lift, push, or pull up to 30lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to an indoor working environment with a moderate noise level.
