Job Summary

Oak View Group is seeking a highly skilled Banquet Server to provide exceptional hospitality to guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering fine dining level food and beverage service to guests, ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met.

Responsibilities
  • Read and understand Banquet Event Orders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Carry and transport trays with at least 8 entrees, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating and meeting the needs of guests to ensure a memorable experience.
  • Setup and maintain food and beverage stations, adhering to DLTCC standards of service.
  • Inventory and maintain food and beverage stations, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good condition.
  • Maintain event areas and front-of-house staging areas in a tidy and organized manner, adhering to DLTCC standards.
  • Participate in setup and cleanup of food and beverage service items, ensuring that all areas are clean and ready for the next event.
  • Work independently during slower times, utilizing downtime to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Perform safe work practices, contributing to a safe and clean work environment.
  • Develop strong relationships with staff and patrons, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
  • Be detail-oriented, ensuring that all work is accurate and complete.
  • Multitask effectively, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Handle and move objects with care, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Exhibit a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude, reflecting the values of Oak View Group.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in the English language.
  • Apply basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, to complete tasks and resolve issues.
  • Stand for extended periods, bending, stretching, twisting, or reaching out with the body, arms, and/or legs as needed.
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 30 lbs. and 15 lbs. often, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Be punctual and maintain consistent attendance, adhering to Oak View Group's attendance policies.
  • Respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED, with strong preference for equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants, with preference for equivalent experience.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age to serve alcoholic drinks.
