Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of cost modeling tools to enhance strategic buying efforts
  • Participate in consortium global buys to explore synergies with key suppliers
  • Engage in purchase, QA, R&D, and manufacturing efforts to troubleshoot quality product supply issues
  • Source, negotiate, and procure raw materials and purchased finished goods
  • Establish goals and objectives to monitor the performance of commodities, focusing on cost reductions and supplier performance
  • Monitor raw material and purchased finished good inventories to achieve inventory turn targets
  • Resolve material complaints and supplier returns
  • Track cost reduction programs to monitor actual vs. planned savings
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a regulated industry; international experience a plus
