As a Patient Care Specialist at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients. Under the direction of our nursing staff, you will provide basic patient care and support, working collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized patient care, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to promote patient independence and dignity.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, to identify potential health issues.
- Support nursing staff with medical procedures, wound care, and other patient-related tasks.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a focus on healthcare or a related field.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting, with a strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
12-hour shifts, 6PM - 6AM, to ensure 24/7 patient care coverage.
Work Type:
Full-time position, with opportunities for career growth and professional development within CHRISTUS Health.
