Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the drilling engineering team to ensure smooth and efficient execution of drilling operations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance for the application of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) technology throughout drilling projects.
  • Develop and manage detailed drilling plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with field and office teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of MPD operations.
  • Monitor drilling performance and implement adjustments and improvements as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to drilling operations and MPD applications.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical diploma from an accredited institution.
  • 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) or drilling engineering.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Field experience in Drilling & Completions.
  • At least 7 years of experience in drilling engineering, with substantial experience in MPD technology.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
  • Deep understanding of drilling techniques, operations, and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Professional certifications or training in drilling engineering or MPD technologies are highly desirable.
