Job Title: Home Care Attendant

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Care Attendant to provide direct client care and environmental support to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respectful and dignified care to clients, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Support clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients' dietary needs are met.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' condition to the Supervisor and/or Case Coordinator.
  • Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and in-service programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized Health Care Aide Program.
  • Province of Manitoba Class 5 Driver's Licence, or equivalent from province of residence, and access to a personal vehicle to provide service within Prairie Mountain Health (Not Required for Supportive Housing).
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated communication skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to facilitate changes in techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to display independent judgment.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
  • Ability to respect and promote confidentiality.
Working Conditions:

The Home Care Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care and support to clients in their homes. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
