POSITION OVERVIEW


This role is responsible for ensuring precise inventory management of components at designated locations and will handle the movement of inventory to and from receiving areas, expediting as necessary.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Uphold a secure working environment; comply with safety protocols, procedures, and practices.
  • Utilize forklifts, walkie riders, and other material handling equipment to transport components to their designated points on the production floor. Expedite parts as required.
  • Establish and maintain material storage systems, including racks, bins, and carts, to ensure proper storage and prevent damage or loss.
  • Create and oversee bins and drop zones for the delivery and removal of parts.
  • Assist assembly technicians in the lifting and transportation of materials on the production floor.
  • Conduct accurate part counts and perform cycle counts as instructed. Document rejected parts daily.
  • Manage the disposal of waste by transferring trash containers to appropriate hoppers.
  • Record part shortage information in designated areas and communicate with leadership.
  • Receive work direction from the department supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:
  • Prior experience operating forklifts.
  • Experience in warehouse operations, shipping, and receiving.
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions and follow both verbal and written directions.
  • Capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.
  • Awareness of shipping, receiving, and production floor activities to maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
