Job Summary

Loyola University Chicago's Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a Temporary, One-Year Instructor Appointment (non-renewable) for academic year. The successful candidate will join a department with over 40 full-time faculty members, offering 7 undergraduate programs in mathematics, statistics, and data science, as well as 2 graduate programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching responsibilities shall include a 4-4 teaching load (12 credit hours per semester).
  • Teaching responsibilities will primarily be in the calculus and precalculus sequences.
Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field.
  • Candidates must clearly demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching and have a record of (or clear potential for) student mentorship.
  • The candidate should be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education, and in particular our efforts towards inclusive teaching practices and the support of under-represented groups.
