About the Role

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated Research Coordinator I to join our Non-Therapeutic Research Office (NTRO) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting non-therapeutic research activities, ensuring they are conducted safely, smoothly, and according to plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participant recruitment, including specimen and data collection in the Moffitt Cutaneous clinic
  • Implementing and coordinating research, including administrative procedures, under general supervision and direction from the NTRO supervisor, Cutaneous program, and Principal Investigator
  • Developing competence by performing structured work assignments and following standard practices and procedures
  • Building stable working relationships with multiple stakeholder groups, including clinic team members, providers, and Moffitt core and ancillary services
  • Screening, identifying eligibility, and consenting research participants, including community-based and clinically based participants
  • Entering data and other pertinent information into the appropriate databases, ensuring quality and adherence to protocol
  • Documenting the consent process accurately, ensuring regulatory and Moffitt guidelines are met
  • Collaborating with Tissue Core and other stakeholders to ensure proper specimen collection at the correct time points
  • Updating protocols with PI guidance for submission to the Regulatory Specialist
  • Communicating with stakeholders, including the Regulatory Specialist, on needs for the study
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Public Health, Psychology, Biological Sciences, or relevant field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • General knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred direct research experience and experience entering data into electronic data capture systems (RedCAP or similar)
