Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Conduct focused interviews to identify specific patient needs.
  • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in patient conditions.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team members, documenting actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
  • Document the patient’s care plan using identified nursing diagnoses, expected outcomes, and selected interventions.
  • Identify and prioritize actions based on patient care requirements.
  • Monitor consistency between the patient care plan and the actions of medical staff.
  • Perform interventions according to established priorities, care plans, and hospital policies.
  • Provide a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Initiate and evaluate patient and/or family education.
  • Revise care plans based on evaluations and changes in medical plans.
  • Document patient responses to nursing and other interventions.
  • Employ clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs, including establishing priorities.
  • Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
  • Engage in activities that promote good interpersonal communication within the facility.
  • Support professional practice by adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Nursing Practice, and other relevant regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse license for the state of practice.
  • Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Current Health Certificate as per facility contract or state regulations.
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
  • One year of prior professional nursing experience is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Successful completion of the testing process.
