Civil Engineering Specialist

GRI is a full-service geotechnical, pavement, geological, and environmental engineering consulting firm based in the Portland area. We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team as a Staff Geospecialist. This role involves working on a variety of projects, collaborating with senior staff members, and communicating with clients.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering design and investigation, as well as experience working with soil structure interaction and bridge/waterfront design and construction. They will be skilled in numerical modeling software and able to work effectively with project managers and clients.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 per annum, as well as a range of benefits including PTO accrual, 9 paid holidays, 401K with immediate company contribution, and continuing education and training reimbursement programs.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate field explorations and subcontractors
• Conduct lab testing and perform engineering analyses
• Design and analyze pile structures, slopes, and pavements
• Prepare reports and communicate with clients
• Attend project meetings and collaborate with senior staff members
Requirements:
• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical option)
• EIT certification preferred
• Valid driver's license
Compensation Package:
