Job Title: Engineering Data Technician

Salary Range: $21,970 - $24,270 per hour

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Data Technician to join our team at the City of McAlester. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will be responsible for collecting, classifying, and formatting data or information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collects, classifies, and formats data or information, gives information, guidance, or assistance to people which directly facilitates task accomplishment.
  • Assists Engineers with designs, takes measurements, prepares layouts, calculates linear area and volume quantities.
  • Provides construction surveys for various departments, reproduces plans and specifications per code.
  • Updates any building permits to digital maps as required, assists Public Works Director in work groups and/or service areas of the Engineering Department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
