The Andersons, Inc. is a prominent player in the Renewables sector, transforming corn into high-quality ethanol, a sustainable and efficient fuel alternative. Our operations also extend to producing E-85, animal feed products, and corn oil, which supports the renewable diesel market.
Position Summary:
This entry-level role is essential for the efficient functioning of our ethanol production processes. The facility operates continuously, with two shifts available, and requires flexibility to work weekends on a rotating basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing operations within the cook, distillation, energy center, and/or distributive control system (DCS) areas.
- Engage in various processing tasks, including managing hammer mills, slurry tank operations, yeast handling, fermentation, distillation, evaporation, and boiler operations.
- Monitor production processes, adjusting equipment settings and raw material inputs as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Conduct product sampling, document results, and communicate findings to team leaders and laboratory staff.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and perform general housekeeping duties.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED; an Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in a production environment.
- Basic computer skills and data entry capabilities.
- A valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves working in a dynamic production environment with exposure to various weather conditions, dust, and noise. Candidates must be prepared to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and should be able to lift weights frequently and work at heights.
