Job Summary:

In this role, you will serve as a liaison between patients and physicians in the practice, ensuring seamless communication and access to necessary services. Your primary responsibilities will include facilitating communication with referring physicians, referring patients to appropriate resources, and providing follow-up through telephone and EPIC/Care Connect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison for patients and physicians in the practice
  • Assist patients in accessing services within the health system
  • Facilitate communication with referring physicians
  • Refer patients to appropriate resources and provide follow-up

Requirements:

  • Skill in setting priorities to accurately reflect job responsibilities
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with Faculty, Staff, Administration, and patients from various backgrounds
  • Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment
  • Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems
  • Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients in varying degrees of health

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflows
  • Working knowledge of patient-related policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of hospital computer systems and personal computer systems
  • Familiarity with authorization processes and managed care programs
