Personal Support Worker

Salary: $18.46 per hour
About the PositionThis role involves providing direct care in a residential setting to participants with special needs, promoting their highest quality of life in terms of their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Main Responsibilities:- To provide effective verbal and written communications to and from specific teams related to the care of participants, including daily observations and reports of any physical or behavioral changes.
- To coordinate health and hygiene-related appointments with family members, guardians, DDS, and external healthcare providers, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- To provide essential physical and emotional care to participants, including assisting with personal care, hygiene, and treatments, administering medications, recording vital signs as needed, placing supply and medication orders.
- To coordinate social and recreational activities, shopping for food and clothing, and safe transportation of participants, promoting a comfortable living environment.
- High School Diploma / GED required.
- A valid Driver's License and adequate insurance necessary.
- Must complete Agency's Employee Training and become trained in CPR, First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration if not already certified.
- Able to follow oral and written instructions, experience with Microsoft products and use of email preferred.
