About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Luxury Bar Attendant to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Job Summary

The Luxury Bar Attendant is responsible for preparing drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. This role also involves issuing, opening, and serving wine/champagne bottles, setting up and maintaining cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools. Additionally, the Luxury Bar Attendant must prepare fresh garnishes for drinks, stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, transport supplies to the bar set-up area, wash soiled glassware, remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables, and place them in designated areas. Furthermore, this role requires anticipating and communicating replenishment needs, processing all payment methods, counting bank at the end of the shift, completing designated cashier reports, resolving any discrepancies, dropping off receipts, and securing the bank. The Luxury Bar Attendant must also secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas and complete closing duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems
  • Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools
  • Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
  • Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies
  • Transport supplies to the bar set-up area
  • Wash soiled glassware
  • Remove soiled wares from the bar top and tables and place them in designated areas

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 1 year of related work experience and a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. You should be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and reach overhead and below the knees including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. You must also be able to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
