**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at Lexus of Nashville. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing Lexus vehicles to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities:**

* Diagnose and repair Lexus vehicles to meet dealership and factory standards
* Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts and inform team leader of vehicle status
* Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
* Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause, and correction format
* Road-test vehicles to check work performed
* Ensure customer vehicles are returned in clean condition
* Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and attend factory-sponsored training classes

**Requirements:**

* Must be at least 19 years old
* Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
* Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts, inform team leader if vehicle is awaiting parts, and pursue special order of parts if necessary
* Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair, if authorized by customer
* Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by customer
* Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
* Notify service consultants immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
* Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order using the concern, cause, and correction format
* Road-test vehicles to check work performed
* Ensure that customer vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced
* Keep shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times
* Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste
* Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company's vision, mission, and values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers
* Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
* Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals
* All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license

**Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:**

* Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending
* Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
* Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, or requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls, or requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials
