Job Summary

At FIRST CHOICE PRIMARY CARE, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a school-based health center setting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic complaints, utilizing written standardized procedures.
  2. Obtain complete histories and perform pertinent physical exams, assessing normal and abnormal findings on new patients.
  3. Order medications and respond to requests for medication refills in a timely fashion.
  4. Perform designated procedures after demonstrated competency and according to written standardized procedures.
  5. Initiate arrangements for hospital admissions and discharges, completing appropriate paperwork/transfer of medical documentation for the transition of care.

Requirements:

  1. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationally accredited nursing organization.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  3. Comfortable treating children and adults.
  4. A current DEA number from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
  5. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
