ThreePDS Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer 4 to join our team in Kentwood, MI.

Job Title: Technical Field Specialist

Length of Contract: Approximately 12 months

Fed Ex Pick-up Location: Kentwood, MI 49512

Average Weekly Mileage: 200-300

Driving/Non-Driving: Driving

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix and be able to resolve basic/non-complex problems as directed. They will also have a general knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware and software, including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications. Additionally, they must have reliable transportation and car insurance.

About the Job:

  • We are seeking a Field Engineer 4 to repair laptops and desktops in the metro area.
  • The successful candidate will perform various repair activities such as replacing hard drives, motherboards, and keyboards.
  • They may also perform whole unit swaps, repair or replace PC peripherals.
  • Candidates should be able to close service tickets in real-time using the Call Management system.

Requirements:

  • Must have his/her OWN RELIABLE CAR and CAR INSURANCE
  • At least 1+ Years of hands-on experience with laptop and desktop break-fix
  • Computer-building background experience preferred
  • General knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware and software including basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Ability to resolve basic/non-complex problems as directed
  • Client and/or governmental clearance may be required
  • Police or criminal background verification clearance may be required

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (dependent on experience)
