Job Title: Kafka Cluster Specialist

Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 per year.

Fifth Third Bank is looking for an experienced Kafka Cluster Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining Kafka clusters using Amazon MSK to ensure high availability and performance.

About the Job:
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Kafka clusters on Amazon MSK to ensure optimal performance and high availability.
  • Work closely with data engineers, software developers, and security teams to integrate and optimize data workflows.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline data processing and management tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in platform engineering or a related field, with significant experience in managing Kafka clusters.
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon MSK, Lenses, and BigID. Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving complex platform issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
