Accounting Clerk

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk - Cash Posting to join our team at Inova Health System. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial operations, including the processing of bank lockbox and access database reports.

Responsibilities:

• Enter daily posting entries and rejection reports into the Access database.
• Identify and resolve issues with database rejections, providing feedback to management as needed.
• Document CDM code activity in Epic and ensure accurate authorization and quality review standards.
• Handle write-off requests within 48 hours or according to customer expectations.
• Apply ASC codes to customer accounts.
• Review accounts, identify corrections, and initiate resolutions or escalate to management as necessary.
• Meet weekly productivity and quality expectations for assigned work lists and special tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of payer requirements, 835, and EOB standards, as well as system functionality and hospital policies/procedures.

The estimated salary for this role is around $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
