About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader who is passionate about retail and community impact. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our store, including recruiting, training, and developing a team of employees. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service, while maintaining high standards of store cleanliness and merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, including merchandising displays, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.

  • Customer Service: Ensure customers receive excellent service by setting and maintaining high customer interactions, merchandising, and store cleanliness standards.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, including pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise to maximize sales and minimize waste.

  • Financial Management: Manage store budgets and financial performance, monitoring expenses and revenue to achieve budget targets.

  • Quality Control: Maintain merchandise quality standards and ensure all items meet Goodwill's quality guidelines.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Goodwill policies, as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

  • Community Engagement: Represent Goodwill in the local community, building positive relationships with customers, donors, and community partners.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Two years of successful supervisory experience at Goodwill; or 2+ years of successful store manager experience with full P&L responsibility in a small box environment; or 1+ years of successful management experience in a big box environment.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and pricing strategies.

  • Familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems and inventory tracking software.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
