Barback Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Barback to support our bartending staff at Iron Tee Golf. As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations and delivering top-notch service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all guests by greeting them warmly and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
• Drink Knowledge: Have a good understanding of the drink menu, including specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, and be able to make recommendations to guests.
• Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service, to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests.
• Support Bartenders: Support bartenders by helping with drink preparation, garnishing, and ensuring they have the supplies they need.
• Bar Maintenance: Monitor and restock bar supplies, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and straws, to ensure a well-stocked bar area.
• Ice and Glassware: Keep ice bins filled and ice scoops readily available to maintain a constant supply of ice for drinks. Collect used glassware, wash, and restock it for bartenders' use.
• Bar Cleaning: Keep the bar area clean and organized, including regularly clearing empty glasses and trash, and wiping down surfaces.
• Condiment Refills: Check and refill condiment dispensers, such as napkins, straws, and cocktail garnishes.
• Beer Service: Help change and connect new kegs when needed, ensuring that draft beer is readily available.
• Trash and Recycling: Regularly empty trash and recycling bins, maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
• Customer Delivery: Help customers by promptly delivering drinks and providing friendly service when necessary.
• Closing Tasks: Assist with closing tasks, including cleaning the bar area, restocking supplies, and preparing for the next shift.
• Supply Transport: Safely transport heavy kegs, cases of liquor, and other supplies to designated storage areas.

Requirements

• Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Hospitality Experience: Familiarity with restaurant standards and hospitality.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills, and experience working with staff on all levels.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for hours at a time, including maneuvering up and down stairs. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at-a-time without assistance.
• Criminal Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check.

Salary Range

$12 - $14/hr.
