Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation
  • Prepare patient rooms for admission, including setting up IV poles and adjusting beds
  • Ensure patient belongings are safely transported to new units or home at discharge
  • Transport patients safely and securely
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including equipment and supplies
  • Run errands and complete tasks as needed to support the unit
  • Assist licensed personnel in providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients
  • Perform unit-specific patient care tasks and document on the flowsheet
  • Identify and report changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge
  • Assist with inventory management and maintain organized stock
  • Respond to emergencies and communicate effectively with team members
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient call lights
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Patient care experience in an acute care setting is preferred
  • CNA License in state of employment required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required
