We are currently looking for a full-time Mobile Calibration Technician with driving capabilities and a valid DOT medical certification. This role involves operating and transporting specialized mobile calibration labs across various locations, primarily within the Mid-Atlantic region. Please note: This is not an over-the-road (OTR) position; it follows a standard workweek with competitive compensation.
While some assignments may require overnight travel, many local sites will allow for daily returns home. When not deployed, work will be conducted locally at our Irving facility. We provide accommodations at high-quality hotels and offer a generous daily per diem for overnight stays. Additionally, this position includes opportunities for training in calibration techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the Mobile Calibration Lab to various customer locations throughout the Mid-Western United States.
- Manage customer testing equipment by scheduling calibrations, tracking equipment service, and ensuring database accuracy.
- Travel to client sites to process equipment and generate reports and certificates.
- Coordinate with the Mobile On-site department to arrange calibration services, adapting to a dynamic schedule.
- Learn essential calibration techniques and processes.
- Develop the skills necessary to perform calibrations independently.
- Execute duties safely and in accordance with Trescal's standards and requirements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid DOT medical card.
- Experience in a similar role with customer service and administrative responsibilities.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight and out-of-state assignments (company vehicle provided).
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory tracking systems.
- Associate's degree, vocational certification, or military training in a technical or electronics field.
- Prior experience managing equipment or inventory in a technical setting.
- Commercial driving experience.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards.
