Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, cleanliness, and maintenance of JWCH Institute facilities. This position will provide support to the Facilities Manager and other staff members in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep of JWCH Institute facilities, including painting, roofing, carpentry, equipment operation, and miscellaneous duties.
  • Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance: Maintain general landscaping, including mowing and watering lawns and plants, and removing dirt, sand, gravel, and weeds.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean all areas of the medical facility, including patient exam rooms, bathrooms, laboratories, diagnostic testing areas, staff areas, offices, hallways, and waiting rooms.
  • Inspections and Repairs: Conduct regular inspections of the clinic premises to identify and address maintenance or repair needs, and perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and service medical equipment, including routine checks, calibration, and coordination with equipment vendors for repairs or replacements.
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems: Monitor and maintain HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning and temperature control within the facilities.
  • Waste Disposal: Dispose of trash and medical waste according to medical facility policy.
Requirements
  • Physical Ability: Ability to move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
