Ready Mix Truck Operator

At Texas Materials, a leading supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready mixed concrete, and paving and construction services in the region, we are seeking a skilled Ready Mix Truck Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting ready mix concrete to construction projects, company-owned facilities or various customers, operating ready mix trucks safely and efficiently. This is a skilled position that requires adherence to DOT guidelines, performing daily pre/post trip inspections, loading and unloading equipment, monitoring gauges during operation, maintaining vehicle mileage logs, following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, obeying applicable laws and dispatch instructions, ensuring product quality, performing minor servicing and maintenance of equipment, and keeping vehicles clean and in orderly condition.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), with a minimum of 2 years experience driving a mixer truck preferred. A valid driver's license and CDL A or B license are mandatory. The ideal candidate will also have a strong ability to learn operational knowledge and skills of mixer trucks and related equipment, read, write, and do basic mathematical calculations, operate equipment safely and efficiently under various conditions, understand and follow verbal and written instructions, effectively communicate verbally and in writing, work effectively in a team environment, and maintain a professional attitude towards coworkers, supervisors, and the general public.
