**Position: Chassis Repair Specialist**
**Role Overview**
As a Chassis Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for executing maintenance and repair tasks on trailers, chassis, and containers. Your daily responsibilities will encompass:
- Swapping trailer chassis and relocating cargo between different chassis.
- Engaging in metal fabrication and conducting repairs or replacements of trailer components, including doors, hinges, metal flooring, wall panels, and roofs.
- Performing both aluminum and steel welding, utilizing MIG welding for aluminum and Stick welding for steel.
- Handling electrical wiring tasks, primarily focusing on DC wiring, which includes setting up lights, brakes, and other electrical systems on the chassis.
- Installing additional equipment such as lift gates as required.
- Facilitating material movement within the facility using a forklift.
**Essential Skills**
- Minimum of 6 months experience in trailer and chassis repair.
- Proficiency in performing repairs on trailers and chassis.
- Experience in metal fabrication and installation of metal flooring and sheets.
- Ability to execute trailer chassis swaps.
- Fabrication skills for metal frames, bumpers, etc.
- Expertise in MIG and Stick welding techniques.
- Capability to install and wire lights effectively.
- Knowledge of DC electrical wiring.
- Experience in the installation or repair of hinges, doors, roofs, frames, and panels.
**Interpersonal Skills**
- Strong ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
