About the Role:

Tufts Medicine is seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our prehospital care team, you will provide direct patient care contact in various settings, including the Emergency Department, hospital patient care units, and during ambulance transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer skilled care to patients being transported between hospitals
  • Administer skilled care as directed by Lowell General nursing staff
  • Obtain medical history and monitor vital signs during patient contact
  • Prepare patients for transport and clinically monitor patient to maintain stability
  • Demonstrate competence in use of assigned equipment
  • Respond to a wide range of transport situations
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Established competence in safe ambulance operations
  • Clinically accurate patient care documentation

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, some college or Associate's Degree Preferred
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
  • Certified EMT Massachusetts EMT-Basic certification, EMT-Advanced preferred
  • American Heart Association Basic Cardiovascular Life Support
  • Active Massachusetts Driver's License (in good standing)
  • 1-3 year of experience
