About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Therapist to join our team at Soar Autism Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with autism and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Care and Development: Provide one-on-one care and teaching to children with autism, focusing on their comprehensive growth and development.
  • Play-Based Learning: Engage children in play-based routines, transforming everyday moments into opportunities for teaching and nurturing essential life skills.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with our interdisciplinary team to design and implement individualized developmental plans, upholding the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and maintaining fidelity to Soar's care model.
  • Family Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with families, providing regular insights on their child's progress and offering guidance rooted in best child care practices.
Qualifications
  • Child Care Experience: Genuine interest and prior experience in child care roles such as daycare, nannying, or similar positions, or related educational experiences (e.g. bachelors in psychology or child development).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for building connections with young children and their families.
  • Teamwork: Works effectively on a team.
