We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Legal Assistant to join our Litigation practice group in our Harrisburg office. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our attorneys and paralegals, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including receiving and opening mail, distributing documents, and maintaining electronic and physical client files.
- Transcribe dictation for attorneys, including correspondence and engagement letters.
- Complete monthly expense reports, credit card statements, and scanning and printing documents.
- Maintain attorney calendars, setting appointments, coordinating schedules, and setting up meetings and pleadings.
- Answer phones and communicate with courts and prothonotaries.
- Enter attorney billable time and assist the support team with coverage for receptionists or other assistants.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three or more years of experience as a Legal Assistant or related experience.
- Experience using PACER to search dockets, party information, and download pleadings.
- Experience with state filings and familiarity with various county and prothonotary websites.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
