Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct accurate registrations through face-to-face interviews to gather demographic, insurance, medical, and financial information.
  • Be cross-trained to assist in all areas of Patient Access, including Front Desk, Admitting Office, Emergency Department, and Cashier.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Serve as a Super User and a resource for training new team members.
  • Facilitate registration and cash collection processes using Epic.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Certifications:
  • None required.

Complexity of Work:
  • Basic knowledge of PC software applications and the ability to navigate multiple data systems.
  • Understanding of medical terminology to comprehend physician orders or completion of a relevant course within one year.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive and professional demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.

Work Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role with direct interaction.
  • An Associate's degree may substitute for up to one year of experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree may substitute for up to two years of experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • Capability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to manage physical records or operate a computer and travel throughout the facility as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
