Job Title: Surgical Technician

Adecco Healthcare is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our client's team in McMinnville, Oregon. This is a direct-hire, full-time, and permanent opportunity.

Job Summary

The Surgical Technician plays a vital role in the surgical team, handling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during procedures. They must have a thorough understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.

Responsibilities
  • Don and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and operating room attire.
  • Gather and check supplies and equipment needed for procedures.
  • Perform the surgical scrub and don gown and gloves.
  • Set up the sterile back table and Mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions.
  • Participate in the surgical site and patient verification during the time-out procedure.
  • Anticipate and prepare additional instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for usage during procedures.
  • Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures.
  • Perform all necessary counts and reconcile implants with the circulator.
  • Care for, prepare, and pass off specimens as appropriate.
  • Assist with cleaning the room and returning unused supplies.
  • Assist in preparation of the OR for the next patient.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Surgery Technician required. OR Proof of work as surgical tech during at least two of the three years immediately preceding Jan 1, 2017.
  • One year of operating room experience preferred.
  • Obtain BLS certification within 3 months of hire and maintain as current.
