Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Product Detailing Specialist at Overhead Door. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate manufacturing documentation to support customer orders of non-standard products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and Apply Customer Quotes and Orders
    • Interpret routine and complex customer quotes and orders to ensure accurate manufacturing documentation.
    • Apply custom order detailing and manufacturing instructions to ensure seamless production.
  • Prepare Bills-of-Material
    • Prepare bills-of-material within our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Perform Calculations and Analysis
    • Perform door weight and spring counterbalance calculations to ensure accurate product configuration.
  • Task Management and Communication
    • Prioritize and manage the timely completion of incoming tasks using system tools.
    • Communicate with internal teams, including Customer Care, Manufacturing, and Finance, to gather necessary information to process and release orders.
  • Process Improvement
    • Develop and improve tools and workflows to improve detailing processes and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Associate degree with a technical focus preferred, or equivalent work experience with demonstrated success.
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong technical and math background.
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Soft Skills
    • Attention to detail is critical to success.
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
    • Resourceful and a solid communicator.
