Core Responsibilities:

The Bus Aide will undertake essential duties that include, but are not limited to:

  • Upholding school policies and regulations.
  • Ensuring order and discipline among passengers; addressing conflicts and documenting serious disciplinary issues.
  • Monitoring students with specific health needs while on the bus, following prescribed instructions and procedures.
  • Enforcing safety protocols on school premises and during transportation.
  • Staying informed about all emergency procedures.
  • Maintaining effective communication with all staff members.
  • Implementing site-specific bus rules and regulations.
  • Supervising students during transit to and from school.
  • Reporting any unsafe conditions regarding the bus or its equipment.
  • Keeping the bus environment clean and free of debris.
  • Representing the school in a professional and positive manner.
  • Assuming additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.

Objective: To ensure a safe and clean environment while providing continuous supervision of students during transportation and other assigned duties. This role is integral to supporting the mission and vision of Choice Schools.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated punctuality and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Proven ability to fulfill assigned responsibilities effectively.
  • Capacity to collaborate successfully with school personnel and students in a diverse educational setting.
