Job Summary: Chicago Behavioral Hospital seeks a dedicated Mental Health Technician to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities: The Mental Health Technician will be responsible for accurately recording vital signs, exercising judgment in patient interactions, following therapeutic interventions, and reporting changes to the Registered Nurse. You will also assist patients through discharge, guide them in adjusting to life changes, and help with personal hygiene. Additionally, you will comply with policies for a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment, practicing universal precautions and responding to patient care priorities.

Requirements: To succeed as a Mental Health Technician, you will need a High School Degree or equivalent preferred; or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline preferred. One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, is also preferred.
