Childcare Specialist for After School Activities

St. Mark's Episcopal School in Houston, Texas is on the lookout for enthusiastic and imaginative individuals to fill the role of a Childcare Specialist within our After School Activities program. We seek passionate, innovative, and student-focused professionals who have a genuine love for working with children. The After School Staff positions are part-time and classified as non-exempt.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing students during engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Managing and distributing afternoon snack time.
- Ensuring safety during recess and adhering to safety protocols.
- Complying with Texas Childcare licensing regulations for toileting.
- Assisting with student dismissal and parent pick-up procedures.
- Must successfully pass the Texas Child Care licensing background check.
- Minimum age requirement of 20 years.
- Availability from 2:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday during the academic year.
- Experience in childcare and/or education with children aged 12 to 35 months is highly preferred.
- Capability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds; to bend, stoop, and reach overhead.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
