Customer Engagement
Welcomes customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services. Addresses customer inquiries and resolves issues to ensure a satisfying experience.
Demonstrates and shares customer service best practices with team members to create a unique and positive customer experience, including interpersonal skills (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., proactive assistance, identifying needs, ensuring satisfaction).
Operational Duties
Learn from pharmacy and store team members, field leadership, and customers/patients
Under the guidance of the pharmacist, assist in pharmacy operations in accordance with state, federal, and company policies.
Performs assigned duties under the supervision of the pharmacist, following Walgreens standard operating procedures for entering, processing, filling, and dispensing prescriptions.
Promptly reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follows company policies regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
Responsible for accurately processing all sales at the assigned cash register, handling cash as required. Assists customers in locating products in the OTC aisle when possible.
Handles phone calls that do not require the pharmacist's personal attention, including calls to physicians.
Assists the Pharmacy Department with inventory management tasks, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
Maintains knowledge of company asset protection techniques and files claims for warehouse discrepancies (e.g., overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs).
Assists with maintaining the Pharmacy Department's cleanliness and organization, ensuring it is well-stocked and orderly.
Completes special assignments and additional tasks as assigned.
Training and Development
Completes required training programs.
Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments, including the latest news and trends.
