Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration invites applications for a board-certified physician position in the Rheumatology Section. The successful candidate will have advanced clinical experience and demonstrate administrative and leadership skills.

The selected individual will perform hands-on clinical work, examining patients, selecting diagnostic testing, and interpreting results to coordinate patient care. They will also communicate and document clearly with patients and medical personnel.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the basic requirements, including United States citizenship, a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree, and current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.

Additional requirements include residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, proficiency in spoken and written English, and physical requirements such as lifting, standing, bending, walking, reaching, and repetitive motion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform hands-on clinical work, including examinations and diagnostic testing.
  • Coordinate patient care through clear communication and documentation.
  • Supervise mid-level providers, medical students, residents, and fellows within the Rheumatology section.
