- Assemble and weld metal components using techniques including MIG, TIG, and spot welding to produce final products or structures.
- Employ hand tools and power tools to trim, grind, and finish metal surfaces effectively.
- Ensure all welds, joints, and seams are properly completed and meet established quality standards.
- Inspect fabricated components and assemblies for precision, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Conduct dimensional checks using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Identify and rectify any defects or inconsistencies discovered during inspections.
- Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related field is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with metalworking tools and machinery.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques.
- Capability to lift and manage heavy materials, stand for prolonged periods, and work in diverse environmental conditions.
Starting pay ranges from $18 to $25 per hour.
