Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Hibiscus Childrens Center. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0-12 years old who have been abused or neglected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage with children in a positive and supportive manner
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate play activities to promote social and emotional growth
  • Assist children with daily living skills, including hygiene and social skills
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to facility and playground standards
  • Monitor and document children's behaviors and medical incidents, communicating with supervisors and lead technicians
  • Provide structure and guidance in a positive manner, setting a good example for the children
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Attend and contribute to staff and treatment team meetings
  • Assist with food preparation, serving, and cleanup as needed
  • Perform daily cleaning, organizing, and laundry tasks
  • Mentor new employees and communicate effectively with supervisors
  • Plan and initiate daily activities, participating in scheduled events and outings
  • Transport children to and from scheduled events
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience working with at-risk children
  • At least 21 years of age
  • CPR, First-Aid, and TCI certification required within the first 90 days of employment
  • Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures
  • Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Must pass level 2 background clearance and drug test
  • Must have an approved driving record
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts as needed
