We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team at RWJBarnabas Health. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles, including electrical and air conditioning systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as inspecting and replacing belts, hoses, and other critical components.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and best practices in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a fleet or heavy equipment setting.
  • ASE certification in A-4 and A-5 required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
