Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Community House Mental Health Agency's Cascade Hall location. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing nutritious meals to our residents and contributing to a supportive family atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare healthy, well-balanced meals in accordance with WAC Assisted Living Guidelines and in consultation with a certified dietician.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to agency kitchen standards and health practices.
  • Coordinate food services, including ordering supplies, arranging for food pick-up, and ensuring menu supplies and preparation directions for other staff.
  • Encourage resident involvement in kitchen operations, including meal preparation, clean-up, and dishwashing, as part of agency life skills training.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff members.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Current Food Handlers card.
  • Ability to work non-traditional schedules, including holidays as assigned.
  • Legible handwriting and basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend agency policy and procedures.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
