As a Junior Physicist in the Department of Radiology, you will play a crucial role in assisting staff physicists with quality control and quality assurance tasks across Penn Medicine's center city hospitals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics, health physics, or diagnostic imaging, and be certified as an American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). You will be responsible for managing the American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditation process, conducting quality assurance on radiologist workstation monitors and radiographic systems, and assisting with patient dose monitoring and image quality assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the ACR accreditation process for all accredited modalities
  • Conduct monthly quality assurance on radiologist workstation monitors
  • Conduct quarterly quality assurance on radiographic systems
  • Assist with patient dose monitoring and image quality assessment

Requirements:

  • American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science with Education Specialization in Physics, Health Physics, or Diagnostic Imaging
