Solar Technician

As a Solar Technician at BHE Renewables, LLC, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all electrical generation and distribution equipment associated with PV Solar equipment. This includes troubleshooting instrumentation and calibration of the instruments in a complex distributed control system, inverter troubleshooting, and other maintenance work for which you are qualified to perform safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on all PV Solar equipment, including parts replacement, troubleshooting, and other repairs of solar facilities.
- Ensure work is performed in a safe manner in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements.
- Document and submit reports, inspection reports, safety inspections/observations, time sheets, work orders, parts consumption, and other required documentation.
- Maintain areas in neat condition, clean up work areas, and properly dispose of waste per company policies.
- Operate and inspect forklifts, trucks, and other powered equipment as authorized.
- High school diploma or general education degree; with one to three years of experience or related education of power plant operation/maintenance or equivalent education and experience.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical fundamentals of PV systems in power facilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and system problems, detect and correct faulty instruments and control devices, install special or sensitive instruments.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of PC software application, including spreadsheet, word processing, and database.
The employee will be working near moving machinery and may be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Occasionally, the employee will be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, loud areas, and exposed hot piping. The company will provide the employee with initial training on all known hazardous substances and occupational hazards prior to allowing the employee to perform a particular duty unsupervised.
Compensation:The salary range for this position is $24.04-$37.50.
