Salary Range: $117,058.50 - $175, based on experience and full-time hours
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive health evaluations, including detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
- Executing diagnostic procedures within the scope of privileges.
- Implementing preventive screenings tailored to patient age and medical history.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, integrating results into the care plan.
- Formulating accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and patient information.
- Developing and delivering care plans in accordance with established policies and available resources.
- Engaging patients and their families in the care planning process.
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Prescribing appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Providing education to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Assessing the effectiveness of care plans and interventions based on patient responses.
- Maintaining clear and thorough documentation of patient interactions and care provided.
- Participating in the education and training of healthcare professionals and students.
- Engaging in professional development activities to enhance nursing practice.
- Adhering to the ethical standards set forth by the nursing profession.
- Practicing in compliance with state regulations and maintaining required certifications.
- Incorporating quality improvement initiatives and research into daily practice.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- A current New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
- BCLS and ACLS certifications.
- A minimum of two years' experience in an acute care environment is preferred.
- ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification if applicable.
