We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, adhering to the scope of the Vocational Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring that all necessary interventions are implemented and documented.
- Collect and handle specimens, follow patient identification procedures, and provide appropriate information for all patient procedures.
- Implement and document discharge plans for each patient, ensuring a smooth transition to post-acute care.
- Participate in maintaining a safe patient care environment, assist with equipment maintenance, and complete accurate charting of patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines to ensure timely, safe, and quality care across the continuum.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Current LVN License to practice in the State of California.
- Current BLS Certification.
