Recreational Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Recreational Therapist to join our Adult Psychiatric Unit team at Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ.

About the Role

The Recreational Therapist will provide services to Inpatient Behavioral Health patients, utilizing creative arts and recreational activities to promote physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized recreation plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Lead group recreational activities, such as art, music, and movement therapy
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a Creative Art (Music, Art, Movement or Recreation) and Certification in your field
  • 1+ years' experience in a mental health or hospital setting
