Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to take charge of the development, maintenance, and enhancement of intricate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for expansive High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems. This role requires a technical authority in the application of DevSecOps principles, fostering collaboration across various development teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex IaC solutions for large-scale HPC systems.
  • Serve as a technical expert in DevSecOps practices, guiding multiple teams.
Qualifications

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph; candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in similar programs and contracts.
  • Proven track record in planning and leading Systems Engineering initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Linux command line interface and associated tools.
  • Experience in scripting with Bash or Python.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HPC components, including compute, network, memory, and storage.
  • Familiarity with IaC methodologies and automation tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, and Terraform.
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools, particularly GitLab.
  • Experience in applying DevSecOps best practices.
  • Proficient in Git Source Control System.
  • Experience in Agile development environments.
  • Willingness to learn Ansible.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline processes.
  • Familiarity with container technologies, including Docker.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Rancher Kubernetes Engine 2 (RKE2).
  • Background in Linux system administration and network services like DNS, DHCP, PXE, and NTP.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Based on Experience)
