Aveanna Healthcare is seeking skilled nursing professionals to join our team as Private Duty Nurses. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide one-to-one care to patients in their homes, assisting them with daily living activities and medical needs.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care in compliance with physician orders
- Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs
- Document all activities, assessments, and nursing actions in a timely manner
- Participate in and update the nursing care plan
- Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes
- Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent risk or reduce risk
- Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act
- Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient according to OSHA standards
- Educate the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies
- 6 months experience as a practicing nurse
- Nursing License (Must be active and in good standing with the board)
- CPR Certification (Must be current, Hands-on BLS)
